News About My Order
• When can I expect my order to be shipped?
Your items will be made and shipped after we receive payment on our account. We really want your products to be perfect, so once you have submitted your order, please allow approximately 3 weeks for our books and albums and 1-2 weeks for our other products. Your order will be sent to your address or alternatively available for personal pick-up. In case of any technical difficulties or larger quantities the estimated production time may be longer – and we will let you know if that happens. • How are your products made?
Each of our products is hand made individually for your specific order. We believe each product deserves to be made with the most accurate precision and subtle composure. To achieve that we need the most valuable ingredients: time, precision and passion. Our products are made by artisans that have the passion for accuracy and attention to details and each and every product is made separately. We aspire to make every single product to last, to make it beautiful, to make it excellent and we never stop seeking for better and more environment-friendly ways to make products that store your most valuable memories.
• How can I pay for my order?
After you place your order you can pay by bank transfer or via PayPal (available for orders below 100 eur) . If there are any additional costs via bank transfer please check with your bank. Please note that the prices on our page are in Euros and do not include VAT, which is 22 % for members of the European Union that do not have a valid VAT number.
• Can I pay upon receiving my items?
After we receive your order we will wait for your order to be paid in full and in advance. Orders will not be processed until amounts have been transferred to our bank account. After receiving your payment we will process your order.
• Can I change my order?
After you have submitted your order you can change it by contacting us at firstname.lastname@example.org. After we receive your payment we start processing your order which means we are already making and creating your beautiful order to be shipped your way. In such case it will not always be possible to change your order and extra charges may apply.
• How can I cancel my order?
After you have submitted your order you can cancel it on your account dashboard under orders section or by contacting us at email@example.com. After we receive your payment we start processing your order which means we are already making and creating your beautiful order to be shipped your way. In such case it is no longer possible to cancel your order and/or receive refund.

• Can I change my shipping address?
Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will see what can be done. We can change the shipping address if the billing and shipping address are both inside or both outside European Union however additional charges may apply. If you wish to pay from a billing address outside EU and ship inside EU or the other way around additional charges may apply.
• How do I proceed after paying?
Please see the instructions and information below. You will also be notified via e-mail about the progress of your order and if there are any questions to which you do not find an answer here please feel free to contact us at email@example.com.
Estimated Production Time
Since all our orders are handmade and crafted individually please allow the estimated production time for your order before it is shipped. The estimate production time for making your order is different according to the product you ordered and it refers to the moment of payment or confirmation (confirmation of the books and engravings), depending on which is last and not the moment the order was placed.

Keep in mind that sometimes we do not receive books ready for print and we have to help prepare your albums and only then send it for confirmation which may prolong the estimated time of production.
In case of any technical difficulties or larger quantities the estimated production time may be longer – and we will let you know if that happens.
Our company offers various shipping possibilities for the products you have order. Since we want to minimise the shipping costs for our customers we have a few options available for you to choose from. Please see the available options of shipping methods below.
All products will be delivered to the delivery address supplied by you during the order process. Time for delivery is an estimate only and delayed delivery is not a basis for cancellation of the order or a request for compensation. Please note that the time frame of your shipping is approximation and can vary. If you are in a hurry to receive your order please let us know so we can discuss alternative shipping.
Please not that we cannot ship items outside of EU without the invoice attached. If you wish that we send the package directly to your clients outside of EU we need to attach our invoice. Also note, additional fees due to customs may apply and are to be paid by the recipient of the package. If you wish we ship the items directly to your clients inside EU we can do so without any problem since there is no customs and invoice is not attached.
If your billing address is from outside of EU and you wish for the products to be send inside EU (with or without invoice attached) please keep in mind that VAT is added in such cases.
• Letter/Package (Whole World)
We are shipping your ordered products via secured letter/package if your order is under 100 Euros. You can expect your letter or package via regular post office delivery in approximately 10-14 days, but the time frame could also be longer. No tracking is available for this option of shipping. Please keep in mind that if the package is not collected in 15 days it is returned to Kala albums and the second shipping will be charged. Additional fees due to customs may apply.
• DPD Post Courier (EU)
We are shipping your ordered products via DPD post courier if your shipping address is in European Union. You will receive an email with a notification about your order and also a phone call/message before the delivery, if we have your phone number. You can expect your order in 3-5 working days, but the time frame could be longer. Additional fees may apply.
• Post Slovenia (Rest of the World)
We are shipping your package inside or outside Europe via Slovenian Post Office. Packages sent via regular post office take approximately a week or two to be delivered, but the time frame could be longer. Please keep in mind that if the package is not collected in 15 days it is returned to Kalá albums and the second shipping will be charged. Additional fees due to customs may apply.
• DPD Post Courier or Post Slovenia (Slovenia)
If your shipping address is in Slovenia we are shipping you your ordered items via DPD courier or Post Slovenia. You will receive an email with a notification about your order and also a phone call/message before the delivery, if we have your phone number. You can expect your order in 1-3 working days, but the time frame could be longer.
• Local Pickup
Local Pickup is also available at our studio, but please contact us before to pre arrange the meeting.
• TNT Express Post Courier by Request
If you are in a hurry and wish to have your products shipped via TNT express delivery please email us and we will manually amend your pro-forma invoice and arrange express shipping. You will receive an email with your tracking number and also a phone call/message before the delivery, if we have your phone number. Additional fees due to customs may apply.
Pro forma & Invoice
After placing an order at our shop you have received a pro-forma on your e-mail address which is our basis to create and produce your products. Carefully inspect it (colour of the book cloth, font, engraving, spelling, etc) and if is mistake free confirm your order with a payment. After the order has been payed for you receive an additional e-mail with Invoice attached as a pdf. and at that moment we will start processing your order. Your Invoice will also be placed together with your products unless specified otherwise.
Google Drive Shared Folder
After we receive payment we begin to process your order form by opening a shared Google Drive folder (if needed – depending on your order). If you are ordering for the first time, please contact us if you do not receive an invitation to your folder in two days. Please also check in the spam because sometimes these invitation to collaborate might not go directly to your inbox. If you have already ordered from us, please use the same Drive folder we have provided for you already.
More Information on Uploading and Naming Files to Shared Folders
The uploaded files are the basis for your order – we cannot proceed with the order if your files have not been uploaded. Please make sure you also name your files correctly. Most importantly, name each uploaded files with your order number first and then use other specifications, be careful to name sequentually your pages/spreads.

Please keep in mind that your order number is very important and needs to be included in naming your files. Other specifications include

If you are uploading files for engraving, please export your files in the primary version such as AI CS or EPS CS. If you do not know how to do this, you can upload in black & white pdf.

We offer various possibilities to personalize your book cover or other products (folios, USB and stamp engraving, etc.). You can choose our laser engraving service, hot-foil stamping or debossing.. Please note, that boutique offers only laser engraving. Photographers, please visit here for more information regarding laser engraving service, hot-foil stamping and debossing.
With laser engraving service, hot-foil stamping or debossing, you can choose between our available fonts, you can upload your fonts/logo/custom design into a shared folder, or you can choose our handwritten bespoke calligraphy, meaning you will receive 3 possibilities to choose from.
If you are uploading your own logo/custom design please send us a vector based, black & white file – either EPS or PDF format. Please make sure you export in primary version (either EPS CS or AI CS). It is very important to outline or embed your fonts in the file you send us. If you do not know how to do this please send us your files in black and white pdf. format. We will then check or prepare your engraving and send you a confirmation e-mail which means you will receive a preview that you will confirm before we will proceed. If you are uploading your own font, please upload either otf. or tff. files in shared folder.
How Do I Take Care of My Products
• Books & Albums
Most importantly always store it at room temperature and never expose it to direct sunlight, extreme heat, or moisture. When carrying around keep it in a protective bag. If possible store your book flat with nothing on top of it. Be careful to wash you hands before leafing through your book. These simple “rules” should help keep your book amazing for generations to come.
• Prints & Photos
Our prints are printed with Fine Art pigment inks whereas photo prints are printed with dye inks which means they are not suitable for framing and being exposed to direct sunlight like our FA prints. Both our Fine Art and photo prints can be stored in our special photo boxes.
• Boxes & folios
Store your items at room temperature and never expose it to direct sunlight, extreme heat, or moisture. When carrying around keep it in a protective bag. Be careful to wash you hands before leafing through your folios. These simple “rules” should help keep your boxes and folios amazing for generations to come.
• Usb Sticks
We recommend using a protective USB bag or USB box to keep your stick safe. Please use the flash drive as recommended by your computer provider. To prevent data loss it’s important to eject and remove the USB device correctly.
Although canvases have a UV lamination on them they should not be hung in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time or exposed to humid areas. We do use a water-resistant coating to protect the surface of the print and prolong UV stability. Our canvases are all coated so you can use damp cloth to clean the face of the print.
• Wooden Stamps
We recommend using VersaCraft ink pads. These are also suitable for decorating smooth natural fabrics such as cotton (the one we use for our design bags). You should clean your stamps after using them by pushing the stamp down onto a damp cloth several times or wash it under water and then dry by tapping gently on the kitchen towel.
Hand wash in warm water and iron the fabric.
• Wooden Photo Blocks
The wooden blocks have a protective finish over the photographs to keep it safe for generations to come. You can use damp cloth to clean the face of the print.
